By: Administrator Date: 09-07-2018

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu kicked-off the week’s assignments with the official unveiling of the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission (ODSCHC) Logo at the Cocoa Conference Hall of his office in Akure.

He described the State’s Contributory Health Care Scheme as a giant stride aimed at giving a qualitative, accessible, affordable and equitable health care to people of the Sunshine State.

Governor Akeredolu stated that the idea of the Scheme is to pool fund from the citizens and use it to procure medicare service to those that need it, thereby ensuring that everyone who keys into the scheme is assured of good and qualitative healthcare.

Arakunrin, while lamenting that qualitative healthcare lies within the reach of the rich, leaving the poor to helpless and hopeless, stated that many have gone to the great beyond before their time as a result of their inability to afford quality health.

He added that as part of its administration’s commitment to the Health of people of the state, the Bill on the Contributory Health Scheme was signed into Law on 6th February, 2018, barely within 72 hours of our arrival in office.

Governor Akeredolu hinted that the Contributory Health Scheme will ensure that every resident of Ondo State has access to good health care services and would also ensure that the poor and vulnerable would be guaranteed the basic minimum package as defined under the National Health Act among other numerous benefits.

He however, described the unveiling of the Logo, is another proof of his administration’s love to the people and fulfilment of its pledge to Ondo State citizens.
